Dadant hive: treatment free bees

Description

This hive has had no Varroa treatment for 3+ years and – as you can see – they are strong and healthy. In that time, they have provided comb and brood for a top bar hive, but have otherwise had little interference. They survived the cool, wet summer of 2012 and the long, cold winter of 2013.
